Campos-Pons, Leonard, Four Others Spoke about “FeFa in Context” in Nov. 2013

Presented by Artists in Context in collaboration with Cultural Agents Initiative, “FeFa in Context” occurred at the Barker Center*, Room 359, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, on November 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and focused on various aspects of FeFa at the Havana Biennial in 2012.  Besides Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons and Neil Leonard, creators of FeFa, speakers included Alejandro de la Fuenta, founding Director of the Institute of Afro-Latin American Studies at Harvard and the faculty Co-Chair of the Cuban Studies Program; Mary Schneider-Enriquez, Houghton Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Harvard Art Museums; Consuelo Isaacson, President, Friends of Caritas Cubana;  and Doris Sommer, Ira Jewell Williams Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures, Director of Graduate Studies in Spanish, Harvard University. The event was free and open to the public.

*The Barker Center is bordered by Prescott, Harvard, and Quincy Streets. Enter the courtyard from Quincy Street, opposite the Lamont Gate. The Barker Center is the large brick building facing the Faculty Club.
