Campos-Pons Exhibition at Tufts in 2013

Posted in News

The exhibition, “Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons: My Mother Told Me” closed at Tufts University Art Gallery on December 8, 2013.  The exhibition featured three multimedia installations, including work from her 2013 Venice Biennale installation with Neil Leonard from their FeFa series  for the Prospectus and two large Polaroid compositions.  This was Magda’s first museum exhibition in Boston since she emigrated here in 1991 and joined the faculty of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.  Also, this was the first time her major installation from 1998, Spoken Softly With Mama, on loan from the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa, had been on view locally. More information about this exhibition can be found on the gallery’s website.
