Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons (FeFa) participated in Lesley University’s Art Talks Lecture Series  on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Boston University’s Kenmore Classroom Building, Room 101,  565 Commonwealth Avenue,
MBTA: Green Line, Kenmore stop.  Magda lectured “on her trans-disciplinary practice which is deeply invested in the discourse of exilic identity, individual freedom, cultural heritage/hybridism, and racial and national politics. Starting with her experiences as Afro- Cuban woman whose ancestors were displaced from Africa, her exile from Cuba, and her experiences in the USA, Campos-Pons’s considers identity as fluid, contradictory, and unstable within today’s globalized world.”
