Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons (FeFa) participated in Lesley University’s Art Talks Lecture Series on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Boston University’s Kenmore Classroom Building, Room 101, 565 Commonwealth Avenue,

Magda lectured “on her trans-disciplinary practice which is deeply invested in the discourse of exilic identity, individual freedom, cultural heritage/hybridism, and racial and national politics. Starting with her experiences as Afro- Cuban woman whose ancestors were displaced from Africa, her exile from Cuba, and her experiences in the USA, Campos-Pons’s considers identity as fluid, contradictory, and unstable within today’s globalized world.”
