McCauley headshotRobbie McCauley (Prospectus contributor, More SUGAR) performed her acclaimed solo theater work, SUGAR, at Boston College’s Bonn Studio Theater in its Robsham Theater Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, December 6-7, 2013, at 7 p.m.  Seats to this event are free and can be obtained by emailing sugar@bc.edu  Seating is limited for both performances, so it is recommended that you reserve your tickets immediately.

Robbie was inspired to write this 90-minute show by her life-long struggle with diabetes. SUGAR is meant to break the silence surrounding the diabetes epidemic in the U.S. and encourage discussion about food, disease, and disparities in health care for marginalized groups. The show is directed by Maureen Shea with music by Chauncey Moore.

Robbie was the J. Donald Monan, S.J., Professor in Theater Arts at Boston College for the 2013-14 academic year.  Established in 2007,  the Monan professorship brings nationally and internationally renowned theater artists to work and teach at the College.
