October 7 Closing of “Greatest Hits” by Nancy Andrews

A new sculptural and installation work. Greatest Hits, by Prospectus artist Nancy Andrews will have its closing event this Saturday, October 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Otter Creek (ME) Hall, 82 Otter Creek Drive. Greatest Hits has been part of a new series of pop-up art events at the Hall sponsored by HOLLER.

This new art work by Andrews consists of a series of events pictured in sculptural scenes “pushing at the torn edges of girlhood, tree stumps, beauty denied, grotesquerie and aspirations of domestic stability.”

The closing of Greatest Hits will coincide with the Bateau Press Launch Party for Bateau Lit Mag issue 7.1.  Bateau Press is a letterpress publisher of chapbooks and an annual literary magazine: “Bateau churns out the highest quality, well-designed, environmentally minded package of literature known to man.” Then, after a poetry reading by Jennifer Tseng at 7 p.m., Andrews and Zach Soares will present space-psych-pop music as “The Henry Probe.”

Greatest Hits can be seen by appointment at other times by emailing Andrews at nandrews@coa.edu
