Jeremijenko Work with Mussels on View in NYC through Aug. 2, 2014

As part of the exhibition “This is what sculpture looks like” at Postmasters Gallery, 54 Franklin St., Tribeca, NYC, Natalie Jeremijenko (Environmental Health Clinic + Cross(X)Species Adventure Club) has contributed an aquarium featuring live mussels wired to small lights and a digital sound system that respond to the opening and closing of the mussels’ shells. The New York Times describes this work as one of the standouts of the exhibition, which is on view through August 2.
