Chin to Be 2017 Skowhegan Faculty Member

It has been announced that Prospectus artist Mel Chin (Operation Paydirt in New England + Neurotoxic Element music video) will be one of five resident faculty members for the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture’s upcoming nine-week summer session, which will run from June 10 through August 12, 2017.

Founded in 1946, Skowhegan is a school and residency for emerging artists on a 350-acre campus in central Maine. Skowhegan offers its participants “an inquiry-based community bolstered by peer-to-peer critique, site specificity, and a long-standing tradition of experimentation that can only occur when removed from commercial and academic structures.”

Skowhegan admissions are need-blind, and financial aid is available for all who are accepted.
