Zea Mays’ Research Results in Safer Printmaking Products

Zea Mays Printmaking’s research into safer and non-toxic printmaking products and practices has resulted in three new products available to the contemporary printmaker. Zea Mays Printmaking Transparent Etching Base is now on the market. Manufactured by Hanco Inks, this etching medium turns opaque inks transparent, has a buttery texture and is archival. It is available from Hanco Inks and Takach Press. Zea Mays Printmaking Acrylic Aquatint Airbrush Medium and Stop Out are used for etching aquatints and are available in limited quantities directly from Zea Mays Printmaking.
